Over 150 seminars and workshops in 27 countries around the world: Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Russia, Mexico, Croatia, Lebanon, etc.

All the courses you will find here are the result of years of experience and research. As an educational coordinator and enthusiast of these topics, I wanted to share some of the most challenging and least used aspects to help colleagues offer interdisciplinary teaching. Each seminar has both a theoretical and practical approach, so for each topic covered there will also be time for workshop activities with feedback and final discussion.

MY EXPERIENCES AS A TRAINER

I have held more than 150 training courses for teachers of Italian to foreigners in Italy and around the world (click here to find out where).

In my seminars, I propose the use of poetry in teaching, semiotic testology for planning and selecting texts, as well as basic training courses for novice teachers who want to start working online or in the classroom.

I am co-author of the Al Dente 4 textbook published by Casa delle Lingue Edizioni and have held several training webinars, including on topics related to Italian culture.

In 2019, I designed and created the Progetto +DONNE (to participate, write to info@bitaliano.eu) which has already involved a large group of enthusiastic teachers: we aim to offer activities on great women in Italian history to raise awareness of gender issues in the design of educational activities and in the use of language. The activities are published free of charge on our blog, together with a guide for teachers.

The world of teaching and learning has changed. Especially with the pandemic, online learning has grown significantly. Is it so easy to transition from the classroom or the blackboard to the computer? What are the challenges of this approach?

PJ - Professor Jockey: semiotic textology for text selection and teaching planning

This seminar-workshop covers a range of topics: lesson planning, the selection of texts and activities, assessment, types of errors, and many other aspects crucial to effective teaching.

Thanks to this seminar, you will be able to organise your lessons without simply following a textbook’s table of contents, and you will be able to select activities and topics based on the preferences and aptitudes of your individual student or class. I will introduce you to a simplified version of Semiotic Testology, which allows you to analyse texts and conversations from both a formal and a semantic perspective, providing you with the most effective tools to become a skilled PJ – that is, a teacher who, just as a DJ knows how to choose music to get people dancing, selects the best materials and activities to help their students learn.

Eco-sustainable teaching: teaching ecology in Italian courses

Didattica ecosostenibile

L'ecologia è una scienza complessa e come tale non è di facile fruizione. L'obiettivo di questo webinar è quello di aiutare a diffondere le tematiche dell’ecologia a studenti d'italiano L2/LS, promuovendo un confronto costruttivo. Perché una didattica sostenibile? Questo argomento, che coinvolge tutti, è il protagonista principale dell'agenda 2030 per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile, un programma d’azione per le persone, il pianeta e la prosperità sottoscritto nel 2015 da 193 Paesi membri dell’ONU. In un ambito educativo che vada di pari passo coi tempi è necessario un nuovo modello didattico: dall’educazione ambientale allo sviluppo sostenibile.

Il primo seminario che ho creato è proprio questo. Ci tengo moltissimo a condividere anche con te le modalità attraverso le quali è possibile proporre testi letterari e poetici in classe, anche nei livelli principianti.

La mia passione per la scrittura e la mia partecipazione a numerosi incontri di scrittura creativa mi hanno ispirato moltissimo e quando ho iniziato a fare l'insegnante una delle prime questioni che ho affrontato è stata: "come posso utilizzare le poesie con i principianti."? Il panorama degli artisti italiani contemporanei che meritano di essere conosciuti è ampio. Questo video è stato usato nella 5° Conferenza Nazionale dei Docenti di Italiano in Australia, XX Settimana della Lingua Italiana nel Mondo. Il mio seminario "Testo e immagini per comprendere, comunicare e divertirsi" vuole proporre al corpo insegnante un importante lista di artisti che possono ispirare le vostre proposte didattiche per diffondere l'arte dell'illustrazione, dei fumetti e dei murales.

Attraverso questo percorso analizzeremo diversi percorsi educativi con le immagini, conoscerete tanti bravi illustratori e fumettisti italiani e potrete attingere a materiali freschi e molto belli, con cui potrete stimolare i vostri discenti.

Progetto +DONNE: educare al femminile

Presentazione del progetto

Ho ideato questo progetto nel 2019 e ho coinvolto un gruppo di oltre 50 insegnanti d'italiano per stranieri a parteciparvi. Un obbiettivo è proporre una riflessione sulla questione di genere offrendo materiali didattici gratuiti su grandi donne della storia italiana a chiunque insegni e agli studenti più curiosi e appassionati.
